The Grove is family run private residential care home nestled in the heart of Charlestown, registered with the Care Quality Commission for 38 elderly and dementia residents over the age of 65. We pride ourselves on providing excellent residential care for elderly people, people living with disabilities and for those living with dementia. Our aim is to ensure that all residents are happy and fulfilled throughout their stay, and that the welfare of each resident is at the forefront of what we do each day.
We offer a range of care to suit individual needs:

- respite care to enable carers to take a well earned break

OUR FACILITIES
Nestled in the heart of Charlestown, surrounded by one acre of beautiful and accessible grounds with seating areas and raised flower beds, The Grove provides a safe and homely environment for all residents, offering a range of facilities including two lounges where residents can relax, have a chat or even play on the grand piano. These spacious rooms benefit from beautiful views overlooking the grounds, catching a glimpse of the sea and fields beyond. Each room is furnished and decorated to a high standard, providing residents with comfortable surroundings.
Spaced across three floors, all of our bedrooms are en suite the majority of which include an accessible wet room shower. In addition, the home has several assisted bathrooms and shower rooms. All rooms are served by a passenger lift.
Our person-centred approach allows individuals to make their own choices and maintain their independence. Residents are invited and encouraged to join in with our daily activities, which include quizzes, exercise, art, visiting entertainers and so much more! Our activity coordinator constantly works towards organising an innovative program of social activities in and around the home. In addition to the above activities, we also have pet therapy and students from local schools who attend the home.
All our delicious meals are prepared using fresh produce by our two chefs, who cook homemade meals, cakes and snacks, ensuring that individual nutritional requirements are met at every meal. We will cater for all specialist diets.
We have a hair salon on the ground floor, with a self employed hairdresser who visits weekly. We also have regular visits from the Chiropodist, Optician, Dentist, Doctors and Community Nurses.
The property and all equipment are overseen by an experienced maintenance team, including personal attention of specialist tradespeople, ensuring a safe environment.
