September 2018- Quality Improvement
It has been a very busy month for us at The Grove. Some of our colleagues have attended a PSKQI collaborative event titled ‘Introduction to Quality Improvement’ which detailed QI methodology to benefit us with our in-house improvement projects.
Another event we attended was Caring UK’s ‘Exceeding The Boundaries Of Care’, which gave us an opportunity to hear and meet leading voices from the care sector offering expert advice on a wide variety of topics. The speakers included Nadra Ahmed from the NCA, CQC, Jane Murphy from Bournemouth University, Professor of Dementia Studies from Leeds Beckett University, Skills For Care, and Active Minds.
These two events have given us some brilliants ideas to run with which we are very excited about.
2018 Rainbow run - Newquay
Congratulations to all of the team who took part in the Rainbow Run to raise money for Childrens Hospice South West. Well done!
We’re getting a team ready for the Rainbow Run in aid of Children’s Hospice South West in June. Starting with weekly training sessions from Petra Rowden our personal trainer!
103rd birthday celebration!
We made it into the St Austell Voice with Irene's Birthday Party! The day was enjoyed by all.
"Activities Co-ordinator, Rachel Haley, planned a suprise birthday party for Irene, which included a very special performance by Elvis aka Tory Wills, who Irene adores. Irene celebrated her special day with a baileys and a kiss from Elvis."
