Our Facilities

The staff are highly trained to deliver person-centred care services to all residents, be it day care, respite or a permanent placement. If you are looking to take the next step into residential care, please feel free to visit the home at any time.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation we provide is designed to make our residents feel comfortable in their surroundings. We actively encourage residents to decorate their room with their own belongings to promote a sense of familiarity. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and all have en suite or private toilet facilities. Many of those have specially designed wheelchair accessible wet rooms.

As well as large private areas, the home has a large lounge where residents can relax or meet with visitors.

At the rear of the house, there are large landscaped gardens where residents can sit or enjoy a spot of gardening.

CUISINE

We have two fully qualified and experienced chefs at The Grove. Our chefs are on hand throughout the day to discuss your dietary requirements and are more than happy to accommodate to your every need. You are free to choose where and when you would like your meals, be that in your room, one of the lounges or the garden (weather permitting).

We take pride in the variety and quality of our home cooking and special diets and personal preferences are all catered for. Meals are prepared on the premises from locally sourced fresh produce, where possible.

ACTIVITIES

At The Grove, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind.

Your special interests and hobbies will be discussed during your assessment and also when you are resident with us. Our Activities Coordinator will complete an assessment of your social needs and will plan activities, visits etc. around your interests. We organise outings, social activities, arts, clubs and so much more.
